The factory (red) Lotus baffled oil pan uses rubber flaps to control oil movement under acceleration, braking and cornering. Over time, these rubber flaps can harden, become brittle and deteriorate due to continuous exposure to hot engine oil. As a result, Lotus specifies regular replacement of the original flaps as part of the vehicle maintenance schedule. The TL Spec aluminium flap upgrade permanently eliminates the need for costly periodic replacement of the factory rubber flaps while maintaining consistent oil control for both road and track use.
Compatibility
- All Lotus V6 models (Exige, Evora, Emira and 3-Eleven) fitted with the factory baffled red oil pan (replaces A702E0004F)
